Weekly Fantasy Football – Week 3 Defense Picks

Scoring points with fantasy defenses are all about matchups. It is often a better strategy to grab a defense going against a weak offense than always pick the strongest defense. Through two weeks, some teams have proved to have a better offense than expected (Cincinnati, Buffalo) and some are much worse (Kansas City). A solid strategy would be to pick up San Diego’s defense, whose schedule contains Kansas City twice, Miami, Denver, and the New York Jets over the next six weeks.

1. San Diego

The Chargers defense has not been great for the first two weeks, but their stats will go way up coming home to play the Chiefs, who have lost by a total of 89-10 their first two games. Matt Cassel looks lost, and if possible, the Chiefs are now in worse shape with the loss of Jamaal Charles for the year. The Chargers will roll.

2. Pittsburgh

The Steelers bounced back from a rough week 1 to shut out the Seahawks in week 2. And the road should not get much tougher against an 0-2 Colts team. Although weird things do tend to happen on Sunday Night, the schedule makers did not expect this matchup to be so one-sided in week 3. Pittsburgh’s defense will harass Kerry Collins and turn in another solid performance.

3. Arizona

Arizona does not have a good defense – at all, but going to Seattle to take on Tarvaris Jackson and the Seahawks will make any defense look solid. The Seahawks are dead last in the NFL in ค่าคอมแทงบอล ufabet offense, and although, they will not be shut out two weeks in a row, they are not going to light up the scoreboard either.

4. Baltimore

Baltimore has a great defense that had a let down game in week 2 against Tennessee after crushing their rivals in week 1. They will bounce back against a limited Rams offense. Bradford has great upside, but he is still young, and limited by his lack of receivers. The Ravens will stifle the Rams injured offense.

5. New York Jets

The Jets are also a great defense that confounded Luke McCown and the Jaguars all day. They will have more of a test heading to Oakland to face Run DMC, but they are a solid defense that should be up to the challenge.
